Education, Economics, and Self-Government
President, Hillsdale College

Once you deny the existence of absolute truth, the definition of "good" becomes subjective and the only standard of behavior is what we want—"we," in the political sense, meaning the government or bureaucracy. It reduces politics not to right, but to force. That is why there is this bullying spirit about our government today, and why so many Americans are worried. It is time for that to stop, and there are two conditions for stopping it. The first is for the ordinary folk of the United States to see in this the despotism that it is, and to rise up and repudiate it. The second thing is longer term, but equally vital: It is to replace leaders who have bad educations with leaders who have good educations.

Obama, You Lie!

Obama Pinochio nose characatureTime after time in President Obama’s Sept. 9, 2009, speech on health care before a joint session of Congress, he called the American people liars for speaking what he, himself, knows darn well is the truth. And that, it seems, is okay. Time after time in his speech, the President told lie after lie, bold-faced and blatantly, knowing full well that what he said was untrue. And that, it seems, is okay. Time after time, when the President told a lie or called the American people liars, the Congressional Democrats applauded, cheered, and rose to their feet. But when Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) grew increasingly and justifiably incensed by the President’s hubris, audacity and mendacity, and finally, unable to hold it in any longer, one time shouted out, “You lie,” following one of the President’s most outrageous and demonstrable lies – that, it seems, is not okay.

Taxed EXCESSIVELY Already
Sacramento, California TEA Party, August 28, 2009

Tens of thousands from all over California came to this event to make their voices heard, making it one of the largest demonstrations ever held at the state capitol. The size of the crowd and the signs they carried tell the story.

More than 15,000 Californians gathered at this event to make their voices heard. The size of the crowd and the signs they carried tell the story.

In Behalf of a Grateful Nation

"The more we are seen to show honor and respect and to express an eternal debt of gratitude for those who have served their country in the armed forces, and particularly for those who died in defense of their country, the more those feelings of honor and gratitude will spread to others. It is hard for young people especially to embrace or demonstrate such feelings if to do so is seen as uncool or unpopular. Therefore, the more young people see others openly paying their respects to veterans, the more inclined they will be to view such behavior as acceptable and desirable, and the more likely to emulate it. California's Central Valley Tax Day TEA Party, April 15, 2009

Tea party photoATTENDING the Central Valley TEA Party here on Tax Day, April 15, was one of the most heartening, energizing and exhilarating experiences this writer has enjoyed in quite some time. There have been times in recent years, quite frankly, when I felt like a lone voice crying in the wilderness, warning of the dangers facing the United States of America not only from without but from within. But no more do I feel alone. Clearly, the American people -- We, the People -- have had MORE THAN ENOUGH of the heavy-handed policies of power-craven politicians who are taking this country in a head-long descent into socialist-fascist totalitarian tyranny.

U.S. Rep. Tom McClintock Speaks Out on the Disastrous Effects
of Poor Public Policy on the California Economy

“I look back a generation ago when California was spending far less than it is today, our taxes were far lower than they are today, and yet we had the finest highway system in the world, we had the finest public school system in the country, we were producing electricity and water so cheaply that many communities didn’t bother to measure the stuff. And the only thing that has changed between those days and these days is public policy,” said Rep. Tom McClintock in an exclusive interview with Rand Green, editor & publisher of Perspicacity Press, on Wednesday, Feb. 25.

An Open Letter to Michael Steele
Chairman, Republican National Committee

Dear Mr. Steele:
You called Rush Limbaugh's defense of conservative principles "incendiary" and "ugly." Let me state this clearly, Mr. Steele: It IS ugly out there, and it's going to get uglier. The Obamacrats are focused on destroying the Republican party, destroying the Conservative movement and destroying America as it was envisioned by its founders. We are already well down that path. If the so-called leadership of the Republican party (that, presumably, would be you) doesn't get incendiary soon and stand up to the socialist left, rather than making a nice sweet non-threatening show of bi-partisanship and "working together," that so-called leadership will soon be swept aside by those of us who truly love America as it was intended to be, ought to be, and can be. Incendiary? I certainly hope so. Somebody's got to light a fire under you guys!

THIS INDEX IS A WORK IN PROGRESS

There are literally hundreds of articles in the Perspicacity Press archives. Unfortunately, as we are currently undergoing an extensive overhaul of the PerspicacityPress.com website, the complete archives are not presently available to public access. As rapidly as time allows, we will be working through the laborious process of converting archived articles to the new protocol and making them again available on this website. We will also, eventually, be adding a site search engine to make it easier and faster for you to find the articles of most interest to you.
In the meanwhile, we thank you for your patience.
